Traffic moved to L3 Chicago-New York path
I just adjusted the backbone metrics to prefer the Level3 backbone circuit between Chicago and New York. The NOC's weathermap is now up to date with the new link, thanks to our programmers. DNS should be in the system within minutes. Given those two last pieces, I adjusted the IGP metrics down on the new link to prefer it over the legacy Abilene circuit between Chicago and New York. Here's the first snapshot of the weathermap right after the move:
I'm also attaching a diagram of the network with the current set of backbone metrics. These sorts of diagrams will all end up on a static webpage and be updated as we move so you don't have to follow the blog. I hope to get that worked out over the weekend and live on Monday.
